You recognise her from Law & Order or lately The Client List, but Elisabeth Rohm is the quintessential girl next door; she’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s funny, and she’s disarmingly honest. Whether its sharing her infertility journey in her new book Baby Steps: Having the Child I Always Wanted (Just Not as I Expected) or the fact that she doesn’t always ‘get’ eco-fashion and how to be 100% green from head to toe.

Raised in a hippy household, an upbringing that imprinted on her strongly; she’s been a vegetarian for as long as she can remember, keeps a chemical-free home, drives a Prius – and is a woman who is dedicated to green living.

“Living an eco-lifestyle simply means having a future. Not only for myself, but also for our children and our children’s children.”

So much so, that this past year she opened Rejuice, a Santa Monica juice bar that serves vegetarian and vegan eats alongside made-to-order organic pressed juices (in glass bottles. Bring your bottle back and they’ll refill it). Healthy offerings like orange-carrot, watermelon-mint, and beet-apple-celery.

With that in mind, we wanted to give her some eco-fashion tips that would help match the inside out.

Drink something berry to feel vibrant and powerful. Our favourite ‘power’ shoe: Finsk, handcrafted at an atelier in Brazil, made from locally sourced materials including leather by-products from other industries, this London-based label is all about crafting the ideal footprint. Earrings: Joanna Cave designs and creates her jewellery collections at her Athens-based studio in Greece, using a combination of recycled silver and gold plate, oxidization, pearls, coloured threads and pebbles all sourced from the Greek Islands. Lipstain: Josie Maran Cosmetics makes pure, 100% organic argan oil-infused, eco- friendly skincare & cosmetics that enhance natural beauty

Drinking something orange will leave you bright and refreshed, so will these! Shoes: OlsenHaus is 100% cruelty-free. Using innovative textiles, all products are made of non-animal materials, in sample rooms & factories that are personally checked for ethical practices & environmental impact. Lipstick: thanks to the natural power of Amazonian clay, this fade-free color stays in place all day so there’s no need to continuously reapply from Tarte Cosmetics. Hat: Crocheted fedora hat in orange straw has been naturally dyed, from Greenpacha who works with artisan and weavers in Ecuador.

Drinking green will make you feel awake and refreshed. Dress: German label Edelziege (precious goat in English). Since 2007, founder and designer Saruul Fischer, collaborates only with small manufacturers that support good working conditions, minimum wages and stay true to her principles of sustainability and environmental protection. Shoes: Coclico uses organic linens, recycled cork and foam, vegan leather lining and lead-free/nickel-free hardware, all sourced from regional suppliers close to their production facility. With the weather only getting hotter in Los Angeles, it’s all about staying hydrated and energized. Of course there are many ways of hydrating oneself, however when we are looking to keep our diet clean and healthy one must find the best spots. Los Angeles has a lot to offer; being a fitness hub… there is never a shortage of choices.

In the last few months there has been a surge of new high quality and wellness oriented juice spots. For me, it is important to go to places that offer only the freshest and if possible locally grown fruits and vegetables. In my search, I have found a few that have toped the charts.

These are the top Juice bars in Los Angeles to quench your thirst and give you a duly deserved energy boost.

1. ReJuice: Has just made itself a new home in Santa Monica. Not only does it offer locally grown fresh pressed juices but there is also a menu for vegan food. They supply slow/cold pressed juices and offer take home sizes in a 1-liter refillable/reusable glass bottle. They have perfected their menu by keeping it simple; they offer the basics in their purest most wholesome forms. The actress, who just opened a Santa Monica juice bar called Rejuice, talks bird brains, Dutch herring, popsicles and more.

Elisabeth Röhm, who played assistant district attorney Serena Southerlyn on procedural standby Law & Order, and is now on Lifetime’s The Client List, opened Rejuice, a raw juice bar on Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica, on July 13. Part of the new juicing wave – see: Pressed Juicery in West Hollywood, Sunlife Organics in Malibu and Liquid in mid-city — the shop hawks fruit- and veggie-powered potions like the signature Green drink (kale, celery, ginger, lemon and apple).

Rejuice hit the juice circuit one week ago, joining the likes of Juice Crafters, Moon Juice, Main Squeeze, Kreation Juicery and, of course, Pressed Juicery. A project by Law & Order actress Elisabeth Rohm, Rejuice serves vegetarian and vegan eats alongside made-to-order organic pressed juices sealed in glass bottles. Bring your bottle back and they’ll refill it. Most notable at Rejuice are the juice prices. Some juices start at $3.95 for 16-ounces, such as orange-carrot, watermelon-mint, and beet-apple-celery.

How much fresh juice does one city need? Apparently, as many as it takes to exhaust the supply of juice-related puns. Only days after spotting Main Squeeze rolling onto Main Street Santa Monica, a new business named Rejuice is springing up on the other side of the seaside city, across the street from freaky-deaky coffee shop Unurban. The juice bar is owned, at least in part, byHeroes and Law & Order actress and juicing freak, Elisabeth Rohm, and is being designed by Talman Koch architects. Expect an opening before summer.
